I was a doubting Thomas
I thought of the past horrors
I looked down on your prowess

I didn't know the promises Moses made
I didn't know Mba could play
I didn't expect Emenike would talent display

But when you stole from the Ivory
And showed eagles and Super Eagles  weren't the same 
And it looked  like we weren't going to be shamed

Then I wanted to watch you play
Sorry for the patriotic delay
You didn't disappoint, You came out champions
And there's a new reason to wave my flag proud

I was a doubting Thomas
I thought of the past horrors
I looked down on your prowess
But you came out and showed progress

I will never doubt you again!
