POLICE ARREST WOMAN, 21, AND MAN, 20, OVER ACID ATTACK ON VICTORIA'S SECRET WORKER

Police have arrested two people after a Victoria's Secret worker was left with horrific burns when acid was thrown in her face
A 21-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to Naomi Oni, 20, who was attacked in Dagenham, Essex, on December 30.
Naomi spent a month in a burns unit and has been left partially blinded from what she claimed was an unprovoked assault by a woman wearing an Islamic niqab.
The part-time model said she feared an unknown enemy was 'out to kill her' and wanted to die when she first saw the way her face had been disfigured.
To add insult to injury, reports over the weekend claimed police were looking into the possibility that she may even have deliberately disfigured herself.
Speaking today she said she was 'hurt and angry' that she was being accused of attacking herself.

'I’ve only just come out of hospital after having surgery on my eye. To see this story saying that I’d done it made me so angry and really hurts,' she told the Evening Standard

'There’s no way I would have done this to myself. I want the person who did this to be caught.'
The man and woman arrested over the weekend have been released on bail.
Scotland Yard today said they had tracked down some witnesses to the attack, but there were others in the area that night that could also help.
'Police would like to speak with a potential witness who got on the Route 368 Bus at Barking railway station and got off at Lodge Avenue at around 0045hrs on December 30,' a statement added.

'He is described as a black man, around 20 to 30 years, 5'5" in height and of medium build, wearing a black jacket and a black hooded top with blue jeans.'

FAREWELL PA T. L. OSBORN BY PASTOR SUNDAY ADELAJA

Papa T.L., that is how I, like many of my fellow Nigerians have come to know Evangelist Dr.T.L.Osborn. If Archbishop Benson Idahosa is called the Father of Nigerian Pentecostalism, T.L.Osborn is the Grandfather of Nigerian Pentecostalism. Simply put, T.L.Osborn brought the real Christian faith to Nigeria and may be to Africa at large, as it is with many other parts of the world.
Papa T.L. was a pioneer per excellence – no one like T.L., a man of God to the core. When I met him, I expected to meet somebody bigger and larger than life, but I met the most simple, humble servant. Oh! What a servant of God he was! However, T.L. was not just a servant of God; he was also a servant to men.

Kharkov, Ukraine, summer 1996, my first meeting with T.L.Osborn. I listened to him spellbound for a whole week, then something began to happen to me. I stopped seeing a man, I began to see Jesus in a man. Jesus became visible, He came alive, He stopped being an abstract personality, He became my Friend, not just my Lord. His reality overwhelmed me and reshaped my life, my walk with God and my ministry. From there I went out to build one of the largest churches not just in Ukraine, but in Europe. A year later T.L. and Dr.LaDonna Osborn came to Kiev and held a series of meetings that have turned Ukraine as a nation upside down. Ukraine, Russia and Europe will never be the same as a result of those meetings.
To say, T.L.Osborn was a spiritual father and a mentor, would be an understatement. He was more than that. He was the Jesus we saw in the flesh. This could be said by so many thousands of ministers all over the world.  I will make bold to say that the waves of success being witnessed today by African ministers all over the world could be credited either directly or indirectly to T.L.Osborn.
Beloved Papa T.L., yours was a life admired and emulated by many, your works shall surely continue through the lives of all these sons and daughters you have impacted all over the globe.
Rest in peace, our Papa, rest in peace, God`s worthy servant, rest in peace, Daisy`s husband! We are sure, you are awake now to the abundance of God`s reward for you and your beloved wife. Adieu, God`s General, till we meet again at Christ`s bosom farewell.
Your son, friend and colleague,
Sunday Adelaja

PICTURES: PATIENCE JONATHAN DIED AND RESURRECTED ???

First Lady  of the Federal Republic of Nigeria , Patience Jonathan, on Sunday opened up on her controversial medical trip last year, admitting for the first time she ailed terribly and was close to dying.

Mrs. Jonathan, who spoke at a special thanksgiving service at the Aso Rock Chapel where the first family worships, said she underwent multiple surgical operations and at some point her doctors lost hope after she “passed out for more than a week.”

“It was not an easy experience for me,” Mrs. Jonathan told the congregation which included senior government officials. “I actually died. I passed out for more than a week. My intestine and tummy were opened.”

“I am not Lazarus but my experience was similar to his. My doctors said all hope was lost. It was God himself in His infinite mercy that said I will return to Nigeria. God woke me up after seven days,” she narrated.

Mrs. Jonathan’s remarks at the church service, was the first time the presidency would admit the First Lady was seriously sick as widely speculated in 2012.

Mrs. Jonathan was on admission at the Horst Schmidt Klinik in Germany for an undisclosed ailment although multiple reports suggested she was treated for lungs and abdominal problems.

While the news circulated, the presidency ensured an anxious public remained in the dark about her condition, repeatedly insisting Mrs. Jonathan traveled for a “deserved rest”.

The thanksgiving service was delayed for two months, after the initial schedule was moved due to the helicopter crash deaths of former governor of Kaduna state, Patrick Yakowa, and the former National Security Adviser, Owoeye Azazi.

President Goodluck Jonathan, ministers and top government functionaries attended the event on Sunday.

During a stirring session, the First Lady narrated how she went through “hell” while in hospital and said she has dedicated her life to serving the needy.

“It is the Lord’s doing that I returned alive,” she said. “When God says yes, nobody can say no. People are always afraid of operation (surgery). But in my own case, while my travail lasted, I was begging for it after the third operation because I was going to the theatre every day. It was God who saw me through. I did eight or nine operations within one month.”

While she lay dying in Germany, friends and associates who hoped she will not be making it back to Nigeria with life, scrambled for her properties, selling those they could,” Mrs. Jonathan said.

She accused some of those she trusted of leaking information to the public that she had passed on.

“I know that some people somehow leaked the information that I was dead. They are people that I trust and rely on. To them, I was dead and I would never return to the country alive,” she said. “Some of them even sold my things off. “I won’t say everything here.”

She said she believed she had not completed her assignment on earth, which was why God spared her.

“It was not an easy one. The day I came back, I said God I have nothing to say, I offer myself to you. I will be doing things that will touch the lives of the less privilege. God gave me a second chance because I reached there. He knew I had not completed the assignments He gave me that was why I was sent back,” the First Lady said.

POPE BENEDICT XVI RESIGNS DUE TO ILL HEALTH

Pope Benedict announced his resignation this morning in Latin. He emphasized that leading more that a billion roman Catholics worldwide requires both strength of mind and body, of which his present state of health is deteriorating.

Although officials said there  had been no pressure for him to resign. Could they be more reasons behind his decision!

"EAGLES"

I was a doubting Thomas
I thought of the past horrors
I looked down on your prowess

I didn't know the promises Moses made
I didn't know Mba could play
I didn't expect Emenike would talent display

But when you stole from the Ivory
And showed eagles and Super Eagles  weren't the same
And it looked  like we weren't going to be shamed

Then I wanted to watch you play
Sorry for the patriotic delay
You didn't disappoint, You came out champions
And there's a new reason to wave my flag proud

I was a doubting Thomas
I thought of the past horrors
I looked down on your prowess
But you came out and showed progress

I will never doubt you again!

FACEBOOK WANTS TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE ----- EVEN WHEN YOU ARE NOT LOGGED ON

Facebook is currently working on a smartphone application that will enable them track users  location. The app will help users track friends that are nearby by sending alert to users phone even though the user is not logged on at that moment.
Facebook is creating this app to increase their profit margin by placing advert of localized companies closer to them.
Plans for the app were leaked to Bloomberg by two people 'with knowledge of the matter', the financial news service said.

FOR EVERYONE WHO DIDN'T LIKE MY FRIDAY SMILE :)

The story is told of a young boy whose parents were murdered during 2002 riots in Kaduna. He was aged 11 years at the time.

His parents, Mr Austine and Mrs Josephine Moses, were missionaries until they met their untimely death. The boy left his house to play football, but returned home to see that all his parents had laboured for had been razed down, and he would never see his mother and father again.

He was taken to London by his uncle almost immediately after the incident, and while in London, he began deploying his football skills. Though his parents were murdered, his passion for football was never killed. He played football for his school and later for a local Tandrige League club until Crystal Palace FC approached him.

From that point, his career progressed in leaps and bounds!

This player played for England's under 16, 17, 19 and 21 teams between 2005 and 2010, scoring 11 goals for England during this period. He later moved to Wigan Athletic and now he plays for Chelsea.

This footballer is called VICTOR MOSES!

He had a choice not to step into Nigeria again, but didn't take that option.

When the call to serve his fatherland came, Moses dumped England and embraced Nigeria. That is patriotism!

Today, Victor Moses brings joy to every Nigerian, including those who may have inspired his parent's death... That is Love!

Moses would later stand for the Nigerian National Anthem and pledge allegiance to a country that couldn't defend his parents. That is faith!

He never gave up on his country. He persevered...That is purpose!

If someone like Victor Moses, despite the bitter past, never gave up on Nigeria, then why should we?
